911 2.4 1972 Project Car Available
We were fortunate a few months ago to come across a "Barn Find" 1972 non-sunroof 2.4T. The initial intention was to dismantle it for spares, but we found that the bodyshell was in remarkably good condition. The monocoque has now been restored, and this would form a perfect basis for an RS, RSR, ST, Motorsport or other bespoke project.
We are looking for a client to take on this project and commission Gantspeed to take it through to completion to your own specification. Click here for more details.
Porsche and Classic cars in the Middle East
Representatives of Gantspeed recently took part in an extremely interesting trip to the United Arab Emirates. We visited the very impressive Sharjah Old Cars Museum and Club, met with various classic car clubs and organisations and also the Porsche Centre in Dubai. There is certainly a great deal of interest in Porsche and in classic cars in the region.
Gantspeed Engineering Ltd Lincolnshire Wolds Tour
Sunday July 18th saw the first running of the Porsche Club Great
Britain (PCGB) Lincolnshire Wolds Tour, sponsored by Gantspeed. This
new event, organised by the Lincolnshire and Humber Region of PCGB
attracted an excellent entry of Club members, both from the local area
and from further afield.
Starting from the Forest Pines Hotel near Brigg, the participants,
in Porsches ranging from the 356 through to the very latest models,
followed an enjoyable and challenging route planned by PCGB member
Cliff Doe, through some of Lincolnshire's finest countryside. Although
the event was not timed in any way, participants followed a proper
"rally style" Road Book which included Tulip junction diagrams and
accurate distances, so navigation skills were put to the test. After
the morning run, a lunch break at Cadwell Park circuit provided an
opportunity to meet with other crews and take refreshments. The route
then continued, finally finishing at the George at Langworth, just
outside Lincoln, where everyone met up for a meal before heading home.
Gantspeed provided a "sweeper" vehicle to follow the route and provide
assistance if needed.
Judging by the positive feedback received, the event was a big
success - a fantastic route, well organised, good weather (after a bit
of rain before the Start) and enjoyable driving.
It is hoped that Gantspeed Lincolnsire Wolds Tour will become a regular feature on the Porsche calendar in years to come.
